Terms of Service

The short version

Flint is a job matching platform. You upload your CV, we score jobs against your profile. We are not a recruitment agency, employer, or job board. We aggregate publicly available job listings and rank them for you.

1. Who is who

"Flint," "we," "us" refers to ZEALOUS OU (registry code 16989036), Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tornimae tn 5, 10145, Estonia.

"You" refers to you, the person creating an account and using the service.

2. What you agree to

By creating an account, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Flint.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Flint.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per person. Do not share accounts.
• Provide accurate information. Do not impersonate others.
• You can delete your account at any time. When you do, we delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

4. What Flint does

• CV processing: When you upload a CV, we extract skills, experience, job titles, and other profile data using AI (Anthropic Claude). The extracted profile is stored and used to score jobs.
• Job aggregation: We collect job listings from third-party sources (Indeed, LinkedIn, Reed, Glassdoor, and others). We do not control these listings and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or legitimacy.
• Job scoring: We score each job against your profile across multiple dimensions. Scores are algorithmic guidance, not guarantees of fit or hiring outcome.
• Application tracking: You can track which jobs you have applied to. We do not submit applications on your behalf.

5. What Flint does not do

To be completely clear:

• We are not an employment agency or recruiter.
• We do not guarantee you will get a job, an interview, or a response.
• We do not share your CV with employers or recruiters.
• We do not verify that job listings are current, accurate, or legitimate.
• Job scores are informational. A high score does not mean you will get hired. A low score does not mean you should not apply.

6. Your content

You own your CV, your profile data, and your content. By uploading a CV, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyse it solely to provide the service. This license ends when you delete the CV or your account.

You confirm that any CV or data you upload is yours (or you have permission to use it), and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access Flint beyond normal use.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or algorithms.
• Use Flint to build a competing product.
• Upload malicious files or content.
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limits.
• Resell or redistribute Flint or its data.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Third-party services

Flint integrates with third-party services (Anthropic for AI processing, Stripe for payments, and various job listing sources). These services have their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct.

If a third-party job source changes or removes their data, job availability on Flint may be affected. This is not a breach of service.

10. Availability and warranties

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Flint is provided "as is" and "as available."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

This does not affect your statutory rights as an EU consumer.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• We are not liable for lost profits, missed job opportunities, or decisions made based on job scores.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under Estonian or EU law.

12. Termination

By you: Delete your account anytime. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where practical. In cases of serious misuse, we may act immediately.

On termination, your license to use Flint ends. We delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms. If you disagree, stop using Flint and delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

For EU consumers: you retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you can bring claims in your local courts per Regulation (EU) 1215/2012.

We encourage resolving disputes directly. Email support@useflint.app first. You can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

15. General

• If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms remain in effect.
• Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it.
• These terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Flint.
