Questions

The short version of how Flint works. For cancellations, refunds, and anything account-related, see Support.

Is Flint free?

Yes. The free tier shows your top 10 scored matches from the last 21 days, plus one CV review insight. Pro is £12.99 a month (£99.99 a year) and gives you every match, the full score breakdown, unlimited CV reviews, 20 cover letters a month, and analytics scoped to your role. No card for Free. Cancel any time.

What does Flint actually do?

You upload your CV once. Flint pulls every live UK listing from 100+ job boards and employer applicant-tracking feeds twice a day, scores each one against your CV across six dimensions (title fit, skills overlap, salary, location, seniority, industry), and shows you the ones worth opening. You still apply through the board. Flint never submits applications for you.

Where does Flint get its jobs from?

Directly from the source. NHS Jobs, TES, Teaching Vacancies, Civil Service Jobs, jobs.ac.uk, Law Gazette, Nature Careers, CharityJob, Guardian Jobs, Totaljobs, Caterer, Welcome to the Jungle, and the Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Workday boards of several hundred UK employers. Plus Reed, Adzuna and Google Jobs for everything in between. Around 50,000 live UK listings on a typical day, deduplicated across boards.

Is Flint only for UK jobs?

Yes. Flint pulls UK listings only. Your CV can be from anywhere and the app works in 33 countries for currency and location, but the jobs it scores are UK roles, including remote roles at UK employers.

How is Flint different from LinkedIn Premium Career?

LinkedIn Premium Career (£29.99 a month) gives you InMail credits, applicant ranking and a 'Top Applicant' badge inside LinkedIn's own listings. Flint (£12.99 a month) scores every live UK listing from 100+ sources against your CV and tells you which to open. LinkedIn helps you stand out on LinkedIn; Flint tells you where to apply across the whole market. We ran the numbers on Premium in a blog post; for most searches it doesn't pay back.

Is Flint better than Jobscan for UK jobs?

They do different steps. Jobscan ($49.95 a month) checks one CV against one job description you paste in and rewrites the CV to pass an ATS keyword filter. Flint finds the jobs first: it scores every live UK listing against your CV so you tailor for the roles that already fit. If you've already picked a job and need to pass a keyword filter, Jobscan. If you're deciding which of 50,000 UK jobs are yours, Flint. Jobscan is US-first; Flint is UK-only.

How is Flint different from Teal or Huntr?

Teal and Huntr are application trackers with CV builders and a Chrome extension. They organise applications you've already decided to make. Flint decides which ones to make: it scores every live UK listing against your CV. Plenty of people use Flint to find the jobs and Teal's free tier to track them.

What's the best free job site in the UK?

For coverage, Indeed. For salary transparency and direct employer postings, Reed (65% of Reed listings state a salary). For startups, Welcome to the Jungle. For health, government or teaching, the official boards: NHS Jobs, Civil Service Jobs, TES. Flint pulls all of them, so you don't have to check each one.

Is my CV private with Flint?

The file you upload is deleted the moment we've read the text out of it. We keep the text itself to match you against jobs. Nothing else. No PDF sits on a server. Nothing is sent to recruiters, employers, or job boards. You can delete the text and your account from your profile page, and free accounts that don't sign in for 30 days are deleted automatically.

Does Flint use AI?

Yes, for reading your CV and writing your cover letters. No, for ranking jobs. That's a weighted formula you can see in your settings. We also scan your CV for AI-generated tells so you know if a recruiter might flag it.

Does Flint apply to jobs for you?

No, and it won't. Auto-submitted applications are easy for recruiters to spot and a 40-application afternoon gets the same reply rate as four good ones. Flint scores the jobs; you decide which to apply to and you apply through the employer or board.

How often does Flint update its jobs?

Twice a day, at 6 AM and 6 PM UK time. Every morning we also remove roles that have closed so they don't clutter your results. Pro and Concierge accounts get re-scored on every refresh. Concierge can also hit 'Refresh now' on demand.

Why do my salary charts look different from my friend's?

Because they show your market, not the UK average. A nurse sees nursing salaries. A designer sees design salaries. The alternative was useless.

Why don't most UK job listings show a salary?

On 8 September 2026, 38.7% of live UK listings in Flint's pool stated a real salary. Listings on employers' own applicant-tracking boards stated one 4.7% of the time; Reed, 65%. The better a field pays, the less likely the salary is shown: 17% of software engineering listings against 70% of social care. Flint shows the salary where the employer gave one and marks aggregator estimates as estimates.
