Flint

LinkedIn Premium alternative · UK

Know your chances before you apply.

Flint scores every UK role across every professional sector against your CV — healthcare, teaching, legal, tech, data, product, science, comms. You spend the hour writing a cover letter on a job you can actually win, not one you can't.

£7.99 a month. LinkedIn Premium Career is £29.99 for visibility at one network. Here's what the £22-a-month difference actually buys you.

Annual cost

LinkedIn Premium Career

£359/yr

£29.99 monthly, or £239/yr on promo when it lands. Billed annually in advance.

Flint Pro (annual)

£59.99/yr

Or £7.99 monthly. Full access, no tier gates, no upsell nag.

£299 saved in the first year. Or, thought of differently: Flint Pro for six years costs less than one year of LinkedIn Premium Career.

What you get for the money

LinkedIn Premium sells you visibility inside one network. Flint sells you better job matching across the rest of the UK market. Different products; Flint is cheaper and covers more ground.

Keep LinkedIn (the free one) for what it's actually good at

Flint isn't trying to replace LinkedIn. It replaces the paying for LinkedIn to help you job hunt part. Premium isn't the only way to get value from LinkedIn.

Why I built this

LinkedIn Premium never actually helped me find a job.

I paid for LinkedIn Premium across two job searches and both times it felt like renting a name-tag at a networking event. I got a shiny applicant badge. I got stalking stats on who'd viewed my profile. I did not actually get a better job.

What I wanted: a tool that read my CV once, looked at every real UK job, and told me which ones actually fit before I spent an hour writing a cover letter. That's what Flint is.

Frequently asked

The specific questions people ask before switching.

Can I use both Flint and LinkedIn?

Yes. Many Pro users keep a free LinkedIn account for networking and use Flint for the actual job hunt. You only need LinkedIn Premium if you want the InMail quota or profile-view insights — neither of which finds you a better role on their own.

Does Flint include LinkedIn jobs?

No — LinkedIn's terms explicitly prohibit third-party scraping, so any tool claiming “LinkedIn jobs + everything else” is either lying or on borrowed time. Flint covers every other UK surface: NHS Jobs, TES, Law Gazette, Guardian Jobs, CharityJob, Reed, Adzuna, Google Jobs, plus 100+ company ATS boards direct via Greenhouse / Lever / Workable. For most sectors, the best roles are already on those boards before they reach LinkedIn.

I pay for LinkedIn Premium for salary insights. Why switch?

LinkedIn gives you a generic range per role type (“Senior PMs in London earn £75k-£130k”). Flint gives you the percentile for the specific role you're looking at vs the UK market. That's more useful when you're about to write a cover letter or negotiate.

Does Flint help with networking?

No, deliberately. Networking is the thing LinkedIn genuinely does well and we're not trying to replace that. Flint replaces the “search jobs, read opaque match-score, apply, hear nothing” loop.

How do I cancel LinkedIn Premium?

LinkedIn: Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel. You keep all your connections, posts, messages — the free account has everything except the Premium extras. The only things you lose are InMails, profile-view insights, and the “featured applicant” badge on LinkedIn job applications.
