Jobscan alternative · UK

Jobscan tells you why your CV didn't pass the ATS. Flint tells you which UK jobs it will.

Jobscan is an ATS keyword checker — you paste one job, it rewrites your CV to pass the filter. Flint is a job matcher — you upload your CV once, we score every UK role across 100+ boards against it. Different jobs, different tools.

£7.99/mo. Jobscan Premium is $49.95/mo. Here's when Flint is the better pick — and when it isn't.

Two different products, two different prices

Jobscan Premium

$49.95/mo

Flint Pro

What you get for the money

When Jobscan is still the right pick

Honestly: we're not trying to replace Jobscan for everyone. There are searches where it's the better product.

When Flint is the better pick

Why I built this

I spent an hour rewriting my CV for a job I wasn't going to get anyway.

I used Jobscan for one job search. It told me my CV was missing 14 keywords for a role I scored 45% against. I rewrote it carefully. I applied. I heard nothing. I'd optimised the wrong CV for the wrong job.

That's the ATS-matching trap — spending an hour rewriting for a role you aren't a fit for in the first place. Flint flips it: tell me which UK jobs actually fit my CV first, then I'll spend the hour rewriting for the one that scored 80%.

Frequently asked

The specific questions people ask before switching.

Can I use both Jobscan and Flint?

Yes. Flint finds the UK jobs that fit your CV; Jobscan tells you how to pass the ATS for a specific one. If you want both functions, run Flint first, find the role worth applying to, then optionally Jobscan-check your CV before submitting. Most people don't need both — our scoring already surfaces role-fit at the skill level.

Does Flint check my CV against ATS filters?

Not directly. Our scoring looks at skill match, title match, seniority, location fit, salary, and industry — which correlates strongly with ATS-pass rates but isn't a keyword-level ATS score. If your CV is already well-written and uses the language of your sector, you'll score well. If it isn't, our CV review gives you specific fixes (included in Pro).

Is Flint UK-only?

UK-first, not UK-only. We cover 33 countries including US, Canada, Australia, India, and every EU country. But the best sector coverage — NHS Jobs, TES, Law Gazette, Guardian Jobs — is UK-specific. If your job search is US-first, Jobscan may be the better fit.

How does your job discovery work without a Chrome extension?

We connect directly to 100+ company ATS boards and UK-specific platforms. No scraping individual pages, no browser plugins. Your CV uploads once and scores against everything on our pool.

Jobscan is $49.95/mo. Why is Flint a quarter of that?

Two reasons. (1) Flint is a job matcher, not a CV-rewriter — the AI costs are lower per user. (2) We're UK-founded and price for the UK market. I'd rather have more users at £7.99 than fewer at £30.
